How To Volunteer

Avoyelles Animal Welfare Society, Inc. is always in need of dedicated volunteers, 18 years or older, who share a love and compassion for the care of these neglected, homeless, and abused animals. AAWS is looking for responsible, reliable, and dedicated individuals who share our passion.

If you are interested in the volunteer program, please click here to view the volunteer application. Return the completed application form to: AAWS, P.O. Box 492, Cottonport, LA 71327.

- Must complete an application

- Possess a valid driver's license and agree to a criminal background

check

- Be at least 18 years old

- If not 18; a parent can accompany them to volunteer.

- Agree to the standards of care that is required by AAWS

- Understand there are no paid positions at AAWS

- Agree to sign a waiver stating they will not hold AAWS (as an entity)

or any of it's officers/board members/regular members responsible

for any injuries that may occur while providing volunteer care

After the above is agreed upon by the applicant, the application will be considered and approval will be determined.

How to Donate

Avoyelles Animal Welfare Society, Inc. accepts monetary donations by cash, check or money order. We now have added a Donation button for your convenience  AAWS also accept donations as indicated on our wish list. AAWS encourages everyone to consider pledging to the organization on a monthly basis, if possible. Donations can be mailed to AAWS, Inc., P.O. Box 492, Cottonport, LA 71327. Checks can be made payable to: AAWS, Inc.
