The Avoyelles Parish Charter School students volunteered at the shelter so our furry critters could look and smell their best for adoption day! Thanks Avoyelles Parish Charter School kids!!! We love you!!
Once again, the Paragon Casino supported AAWS by sponsoring a supply drive for the shelter. The supplies and goodies were gladly accepted and very much in need. Our homeless residents love all the new goodies! Thanks Paragon!!!
Avoyelles Parish 4-H presented a donation check to AAWS in the beginning of December 2016. Thanks to all of the 4-H members for remembering and honoring Avoyelles Animal Welfare Society with your service!!!
Also in the first part of December 2016, Darlene Gormsen and her daughter, Mandy, decorated a tree at the Courthouse Square in Marksville in response to the Marksville Courthouse recognition of various non-profit organizations in the area. Darlene and Mandy did a fabulous job putting AAWS in the festive spirit!!
September 22, 2012 - AAWS grand opening! Darlene Gormsen paired up with Paragon Casino for the 2016 food and supply drive for Avoyelles Animal Welfare Society. The drive netted much needed supplies and goodies for our homeless residents. Supplies are always needed anytime, and donations are greatly appreciated!!
Avoyelles High School is a proud sponsor of Avoyelles Animal Welfare Society. Each year, students in different clubs and activities at Avoyelles High School in Moreauville, LA raise money and awareness for AAWS. Their efforts are greatly appreciated!!!
Tractor Supply Store in Mansura has been one of AAWS biggest supporters. They have sponsored many dinners, cake sales and other events, as well as making very generous contributions of much needed pet supplies. AAWS is extremely grateful to Mr. Ken and all of his staff at Tractor Supply!
KALB in Alexandria, LA has hosted AAWS on it's Jambalaya newscast in the mornings several times. AAWS is grateful for the media exposure of our worthy cause, which has resulted in several adoptions!! Thanks, KALB!!!
